Train Derailment in Stanley

On Wednesday, November 1st, at approximately 1:07 am, Canadian National (CN) Railway reported a train derailment that occurred in the City of Stanley, between 345th Street and McKnight Street.
Preliminary information indicates that approximately ten (10) railcars derailed. There are no dangerous goods involved and there are no fires or injuries. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
The Stanley Police Department wants to remind the public that railroad property is private property and can be extremely dangerous. Anyone found trespassing could face prosecution. There are no active roadway closures at any of the railroad crossings because of this incident.
