Rosemary Opelt at Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville Receives Sunflower Award

Rosemary Opelt is a health unit coordinator for surgical services at Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville.

Rosemary was recognized with the Sunflower Award. Her nomination stated, "Rosemary is always willing to lend a hand where needed and never expects anything back in return. She gets along very well with anyone she works with and is always building a special bond."

"Recently our Medical/Surgical department needed an extra set of eyes for a patient. Rosemary willingly agreed to help. She not only provided that set of eyes, but she also opened her ears and her heart to this patient.”

“The patient and Rosemary spent a lot of time talking, which is just what the patient needed at the time. Rosemary went above and beyond by offering herself to stay longer than usual to see the patient off at discharge. I know I speak for most, if not all staff in both Surgery and Medical/Surgical when I say, 'Rosemary deserves this more than anyone!'”
