Artica is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Creekside Kennels and Shop south of Black River Falls. (https://www.creeksidekennelsshop.com/)

Name: Artica

Age: 2-Years-Old

Breed: Siberian Husky

Artica is the CCHS Pet of the Week! Artica is a Siberian Husky who was surrendered to CCHS from a breeder who no longer wished to sell Huskies. She is about two years old and weighs 48.8#. Artica is a beautiful girl with the standard markings you'd expect for a Husky.

Her black and white coat is very soft and fluffy and she has gorgeous blue eyes. Artica is a very special girl. She has a timid personality and is quite shy, so it takes her some time to adjust to new people. Once she gets to know you, Artica is a very sweet girl who enjoys playing.

But it will definitely take lots of time for her to adjust to a new home. She needs to find a family with lots of love and patience who is willing to help her work through her shyness. It will also be very important that has a secure yard to exercise in, as she will certainly run away if given the chance.

She has a huge heart to share with her new family, she just needs to find the special people willing to give her a chance. If that's you, please consider adopting Artica today! You can submit your adoption application for Artica or any of the pets at CCHS right on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt.

We have almost 100 animals at CCHS right now, with an amazing selection of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens, so be sure to check them all out.  You are also welcome to stop in and visit with our animals during any of our open hours!

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.

We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs-petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at [email protected]. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Artica, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
