City of Marshfield Maintenance Projects This Week

The City of Marshfield announces a pair of projects happening this week.

The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Division will be removing invasive buckthorn in Hamus Park and Braem Park from Monday, September 25th through October 2nd.  Please avoid these areas when operations are present and stay a minimum of 300’ away if you encounter any machinery.

Buckthorn is one of Wisconsin's most prevalent invasive plant species. This tall shrub causes multiple ecological problems due to its chemical makeup and the dense shade it casts. Buckthorn is recognized by its dark green round leaves, red-to-black berries, and occasional terminal thorns.

The Marshfield Street Departments announces that beginning Monday, September 25, 2023, at 6:30 a.m., traffic control will be set up on North Veterans Pkwy, north of Guard Street. The traffic control will be set up to close the right/outside lane of traffic northbound.

This closure is to allow the Street Division to replace sanitary manholes.  The expected length of the closure will be through the end of the day on Wednesday, September 27, 2023
