Suspect in Shooting in Wausau Bar Parking Lot Flees Officers

(Ted Ehlen, WRN) Wausau police are investigating an overnight shooting at a bar in the city.

Police say when they responded to reports of a fight in the parking lot of M & R Station on Wausau’s west side, they encountered a group of men, with one reportedly in possession of a handgun. After an officer ordered the man to drop the weapon, he fled.

Officers then heard A gunshot from the direction of the fleeing suspect. The man got away, but a handgun was recovered at the scene.  No one was injured and no arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.
