Abbotsford School District Offering Free Meals to Students this School Year

The Abbotsford School District is pleased to inform parents of students that the District will be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) while participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for School Year 2023-2024.

Because of this, all 4K-12 enrolled students of the School District of Abbotsford are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to their household each day of the school year.

Children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Any items over the daily limit (extra milk, extra entree etc.) will not be covered. Parents will be expected to pay these costs.

The district will still be requesting applications from households with a student participating in the CEP; however, receipt of free breakfast and lunch meals does not depend on returning it.

Completing the application is still necessary for other program(s) like Title I and Grants and may be used to determine if the household is eligible for these additional benefits.
