Bill Would Allow Holders of Foreign Issued Identification to Pick Up Prescriptions

(Bob Hague, WRN) A proposal from state lawmakers would expand ID options for picking up prescriptions.

The bill would allow individuals holding foreign issued identification cards or documents to use them to pick up a prescription, as long as the ID or document has a photo. In a press release, Representative Clinton Anderson of Beloit said the bill stems from listening sessions where constituents told him of difficulties they’ve had getting access to medications they had already been prescribed due to lack of a qualifying ID.

Democrats, Senator Mark Spreitzer of Beloit and Representative Jimmy Anderson of Fitchburg are co-sponsors.
