Taylor County Man Facing Charges of Sexual Assault of a Child

A Taylor County man accused of sexual assault of a child appeared in Taylor County Court on Tuesday.

According to court records, from January of 2022 through February of 2023, 22-year-old Kenner Ramirez is accused of having repeated sexual contact with a child at a residence in Medford. The victim stated they were forced into performing sexual acts.

Ramirez is also accused of threatening the victim to keep them quiet and would follow the victim to various locations to intimidate them. Ramirez allegedly destroyed a cell phone that had pictures and videos of the crime on it.

Ramirez has a $50,000 cash bond set against him. He’s facing charges of first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16 and repeated sexual assault of the same child under the age of 13.

He was expected to be formally charged on Tuesday, but the date was moved so he had more time for an attorney to be appointed to him. He could spend life in prison.
