Driving Instructor and Student in Two Vehicle Accident in Marshfield

A driving instructor and his student were in a two vehicle accident in Marshfield.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, on May 15th around 11:18am, there was a two vehicle accident at the intersection of on W. 5th Street and Columbus Drive. The driver of the first vehicle, the driving instructor’s vehicle, was traveling northbound on coming up to the W. 5th Street intersection.

The driver of the vehicle, the student, noticed the stop sign and attempted to apply the brake, but he accidentally pressed the gas pedal sending the vehicle into the intersection.

The passenger of the vehicle, the driving instructor, attempted to apply the brake on his side of the vehicle, but the vehicle was accelerating too quickly striking the rear of the second vehicle that was traveling eastbound on W. 5th Street. The individuals involved in the crash were not injured.
