Lions and Lionesse Groups Donate to Wood County CISM Team

Local Lions Clubs District Zone including Wisconsin Rapids, Grand Rapids, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, Rudolph and the Wisconsin Rapids Lionesses rotate annually a district project that each club provides donations to a local project/cause.

This year the Wisconsin Rapids Lionesses were selected to come up with a local project to support.  They selected the Wood County CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team to donate too. Each club participated, and raised a total $1800 for the CISM Team. The CISM Team supports all of the first responders within Wood County, providing much needed support following stressful responses to critical incidents within our County.

Team members are specially trained to provide group discussions following a critical incident for first responders that dealt with the tragedy.  CISM will also provide support following meetings continuing to work with the first responders as needed.
