Local Students Place at SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership Conference

Awards were presented during the Wed., April 26, SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference closing ceremonies held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison.
The 50th annual event featured more than 1,800 middle and high school students and post-secondary students participating in over 80 skilled and technical trades competitions. Some local students who placed in the various events include:
- Trevor Meyer and Owen Siegel of the Marshfield School District receiving a silver in Commercial sUAS Drone Demonstration;
- Brezlyn Boyer of the Colby High School received a gold in Cosmetology;
- Jorji Rios of the Black River Falls High School received a bronze in Advertising Design;
- Grayson Wyss of Black River Falls received a bronze in CO2 Dragster - Middle School;
- Matthew Clark of Wisconsin Rapids and a student at Mid-State Technical College received a silver in CNC 2-Axis Turning Programmer - College
- Andrea Cogswell with the Black River Falls Middle School received a gold in Related Technical Math - Middle School;
- And Shane Graham with the Black River Falls Middle School received a silver in Woodworking Display MS - $0 - $50 Estimate - Middle School
