Marathon County Jailer Promoted to Rank of Lieutenant

The Marathon County Sheriff has promoted an officer to the rank of Lieutenant.

According to Marathon County Sheriff Chad Billeb, he “had the privilege of promoting Tristen Wanden to the rank of Lieutenant within the Jail. Tristen began his career with the Marathon County Sheriff's Office in January of 2019, having worked at a prison in Michigan before starting at the Sheriff's Office.

In September of 2022, Tristen was promoted to the rank of corporal and will now assume his new position as a lieutenant. Tristen has shown time and time again his ability to lead both formally and informally.”

“Tristen demonstrates all of the qualities you would expect in a great leader. He is calm under pressure and makes sound decisions and always leads from the front. Upon assuming his new position, his shift welcomed him with a cake and potluck on his first shift with them.”
