Marshfield Woman Cited After Hit and Run Accident

A Marshfield woman was cited after hitting a home with her vehicle and fleeing the scene.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, around 2pm on May 2nd, a driver was heading south bound on North Peach Ave. when she left the roadway, drove onto the yard of 601 N. Peach Avenue and struck the house causing damage to the vehicle and the brick on the outside of the house. The driver then left the scene of the crash in her vehicle and a witness observed the driver leaving.

The witness followed her to the 700 Block of E. 3rd Street and called the police. An officer responded and the driver stated she blacked out and woke up in her vehicle in the yard of 601 N. Peach. The driver stated she left because she got scared and didn’t have a valid driver’s license. The driver was cited for operating while revoked and hit and run.
