Wausau East Instructor the Subject of a Recent Investigation

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A long-time Wausau East High School instructor was the subject of a recent investigation by the district.

Band Director Rob Perkins had a complaint filed against him a few weeks ago, which led to what the district says was a "through investigation"- according to a statement from media coordinator Diana White.

The investigation did not result in Perkins losing his job, though the statement adds that it did reveal some shortcomings or areas where the district can "Be better and do better" and going forward they will be working with a consultant to improve the experience for both students and educators.

In an email to WSAU news, White said they would not be releasing any further information about the incident- that includes information on the nature of the initial complaint against Perkins.
