Wisconsin Rapids Man Arrested After Standoff with Officers Appears in Wood County Court

A Wisconsin Rapids man arrested after a standoff with officers appeared in Wood County Court on Monday.
According to the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, on Saturday, March 11th, officers made contact with a man, after receiving a report of a domestic dispute on the 2200 block of Carriage Court in Wisconsin Rapids.
Officers made contact with Travis Drollinger and accused him of pointing a pistol in their directions. A 10-year veteran with the Department discharged his weapon at Drollinger. Drollinger went inside the home and the standoff ensued for several hours. Drollinger later surrendered without incident and no one was injured.
Drollinger is facing charges of five counts of 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of THC, possession of cocaine, possession of amphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, endanger safety with use of a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct.
During his court appearance on Monday, Drollinger wavied his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.
