Marshfield Police Department Arrests Man for Threatening Post on Social Media and Assault

The Marshfield Police Department arrested a man for a threatening post on social media and for assaulting a man.

According to a report for the Department, a woman called and stated that a 28-year-old Marshfield man posted on social media that he was going to kill her and take her son. She also stated the man assaulted her fiance. Her fiance reported the man struck him in the head approximately 15 times with a closed fist.

The man was later located and taken into custody for charges of battery, resisting an officer and a warrant. He was transported to Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County DA.
