The Marshfield School Board accepted a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Justice for digital mapping of the District.

The School District of Marshfield will use these grant funds to contract with a vendor to create digital maps of school grounds. This will include digital maps of five elementary schools, one middle school and one high school, with labeled rooms and directions for use by Law Enforcement and First Responders should an emergency situation occur. The grant is in the amount of $22,034.

The Board also approved a compensation model for coaches/advisors of co-curricular activities that would follow different levels with increases at each level. The Board also approved the 7-12 Tech Ed Curriculum and was presented with the first look at the K-12 math curriculum.

The Board also approved agreements for Project Search and Project Life Students with the Auburndale, Spencer, and Loyal School Districts. The Board also approved the 2023 Summer School Budget in the amount of $476,552.

It was also mentioned that registration for summer school at the Marshfield District is open now and will be until Friday, April 21st. However, they mentioned that the classes are filled on a first come-first serve basis, so parents should sign up sooner rather than later. For example, it was mentioned that one class had already filled up within seven minutes of being open. The Board also approved the School Nutrition Cooperative Agreement at a cost of $300.

The Board also approved the contract renewal for professional staff, approved the professional staff and administrative staff handbooks, had the first reading of the support staff and substitute staff handbooks, and approved the elementary, middle, high school, and alternative school handbooks with no major changes, just some minor tweaks to make it more user friendly.
