City of Marshfield's 2023 Facade and Interior Conversation Program

The City’s Economic Development Board and Main Street Marshfield are pleased to announce the 2023 Façade and Interior Conversation Program.

For 2023, $70,000 has been designated for façade and building improvements within the boundaries of TIF District #4. This program provides a matching grant for eligible exterior and/or interior work on eligible properties upon completion of approved work.

Eligible work includes façade improvements in accordance with city ordinances, the Downtown Master Plan, historic preservation standards, and Main Street Design Guidelines.

Funds provided under this grant may be up to a maximum of 50% of total project cost, and the maximum amount for any one grant is $40,000. Properties must be located within the boundaries of TIF District #4; and residential and tax-exempt properties are not eligible.

To apply, go to the City’s website for the application at www.ci.marshfield.wi.us then click on “Departments”, Economic Development Division, Programs and Financial Assistance, and you’ll be able to access and print an application.

Application forms are also available at Marshfield City Hall, located at 207 West 6th Street. In order to be considered for the first round of nominations, applications must be submitted by Friday, May 19, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.
