City of Marshfield Opening Several Routes Designated for ATV/UTV Operations

The City of Marshfield will be officially opening several routes designated for ATV/UTV operation within the city limits on April 10th.

ATVs and UTVs may operate on the specified trail routes as well as some ancillary roads to either access your home or a local business. Several of the city’s major roadways are specifically prohibited. Operating your ATV/UTV on the prohibited roads will result in violations and enforced. The following strictly prohibited streets include:

  • Veterans Parkway (STH 13) in its entirety;
  • Central Avenue (STH97) in its entirety;
  • Peach Avenue – McMillan St to 29th St;
  • St Joseph Avenue – McMillan Street to Veterans Parkway;
  • Ives Street – Oak Avenue to Peach Avenue;
  • Oak Avenue – 14th Street to Veterans Parkway;
  • Oak Avenue / Doege Street - St Joseph Ave to McMillan St;
  • 14th Street – Lincoln Ave to Central Avenue;
  • Adler Road – Oak Ave to Lincoln Avenue;
  • Doege Street – Oak Ave to Becker Rd;
  • Becker Rd – Doege St to Galvin Avenue;
  • Upham Street – St Joseph’s Avenue to Peach Avenue;
  • McMillan Street – Lincoln Avenue (north) to Peach Avenue;
  • 4th Street – Central Avenue to Washington Avenue;
  • Washington Avenue – 4th Street to 17th Street;
  • 4th Street - Veterans Parkway to Hume Avenue;
  • And 8th Street – Washington Avenue to Veterans Parkway.

Please realize operating your ATV or UTV along‐side other motor vehicles on public roadways can be dangerous. It is your responsibility to ensure you are properly trained to operate your ATV/UTV prior to setting off to utilize the trail system.

It is your responsibility to ensure your ATV/UTV meets all of the required safety and registration regulations, and you as the operator and your riders also meet all of the required safety regulations. The best resource for this information is the Wisconsin DNR’s website.

  • Streets in the City of Marshfield open to ATVs/UTVs as shown on the approved ATV/UTV map are noted in: (DARK BLUE);
  • The following streets may be used to homes or businesses utilizing the shortest routes to an approved route in: (LIGHT BLUE);
  • The following streets are strictly prohibited are noted in. (RED or ORANGE)
