Office of Emergency Communications Announces Grants for Geographic Information Systems

The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) is pleased to announce the award of 24 grant projects totaling $1,076,223.75 in state funding to local county land information offices across Wisconsin.

Funding will be used for various projects related to geographic information systems (GIS) data creation, preparation, and remediation activities necessary for enabling Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) call routing. Some local recipients include Marathon County receiving $12,044.20 for the total award and $11,441.99 from the state award.

Eau Claire County is receiving $29,500 for the total amount and $28,025 for the state amount. The Chippewa County Department of Planning and Zoning will receive $21,300 for the total amount and $20,235 from the state.
