Wisconsin Farmers Discuss Ideas and Technologies at National Farmers Union Convention

Thursday, March 16th, 2023 -- 8:04 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) At the National Farmers Union Convention, held in February 2023, farmers from Wisconsin gathered with others from across the country to explore new ideas and technologies, as well as connect with other farmers, industry leaders, and policymakers.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the convention featured a variety of workshops and panels covering topics such as sustainable agriculture, farm labor and immigration, and the impact of climate change on farming.

Wisconsin farmers attended several sessions on sustainable agriculture, which highlighted ways to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve soil health through innovative practices such as cover cropping and rotational grazing.

In addition, farmers had the opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from others in small group discussions, where they explored topics such as farm diversification and marketing strategies.

Another important aspect of the convention was the chance for farmers to connect with policymakers and industry leaders. Wisconsin farmers met with state and national representatives to discuss issues such as agricultural subsidies, trade policy, and rural infrastructure.

These conversations allowed farmers to share their concerns and ideas with those who have the power to make meaningful changes in the industry. Overall, the National Farmers Union Convention provided an invaluable opportunity for Wisconsin farmers to learn, connect, and collaborate with others in their field.

By exchanging ideas and building relationships, farmers can work together to create a thriving agricultural future for themselves and for generations to come.
