Neillsville Fire Department Responds to One Vehicle Accident

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to one vehicle accident on Tuesday.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received the call around 12:24pm of a one vehicle accident 150 yards north of Portner Road on Opelt Avenue in the Township of Pine Valley.

When they arrived, they found the vehicle in the west ditch right on the creek bank. It appeared as if the owner of the vehicle hit a patch of ice and lost control on the bridge.

The Department assisted EMS in getting the driver out of the vehicle. The driver was taken to Marshfield Medical Center Neillsville with non-life threatening injuries.

The Department received assistance from the Neillsville Ambulance Service and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and they had no injuries on their part.
