Wausau School Board Votes Down Advisory Referendum

The Wausau School Board voted down an advisory referendum at their meeting on Monday.

The advisory referendum was being requested by some concerned parents and citizens as the Board voted to restructure the various schools within the Wausau District. The referendum would have had multiple questions including asking whether the public approved of the original plan approved by the Board.

Ultimately, the referendum proposal was voted down 5-4. Board members said they are still open to community input regarding the restructuring plan.
