Augusta Students Show Their Student-Led Business

Last week, the student-led business at Augusta High School, T-Shirts for Tomorrow, had two schools come to visit and push some ink.

Fall Creek School District's  merchandising class, along with their Business Education teacher, Charles Fitch, stopped by to learn about the screen printing process. Mrs. Steinke had already created a screen for them to use to have each student give it a try and create their very own “FC Cricket Merch” shirt to take back to Fall Creek.

Each shirt turned out well and the students had a very good interactive learning lesson. Wildlands Science Research School also stopped by to learn a little more about our student-led business and again, Mrs. Steinke had a screen ready for them to try out.

They pushed ink on their very own shirts that showed off the Wildlands logo. This was a big group, but with the help of a few of the screen printing class volunteers, it went smoothly and the students left with a great product.

Overall, it was a busy day at T-shirts for Tomorrow, but it was fun to show students the screen printing process, collaborate with other schools, see our current students help out and show off what they have learned, and hopefully pass on some interest in students participating in the student-led business program in their future high school career.
