Loyal Lions Remind Individuals to Sign Up for 2023 Summer Camps

The Wisconsin Lions 2023 summer camping applications are now available.

According to the Loyal Lions, camping opportunities for blind and visually-impaired youth and adults; autistic and intellectually-disabled youth and young adults; youths with diabetes; youths with epilepsy; and youths and adults who are deaf or hard-of-hearing can apply to attend one of the camping events. Camps run for one week during the summer months.

The camp is located at Rosholt, WI and offers a summer camp experience which includes the usual experiences a youth would expect from a one-week summer camp experience.

Youths who apply and are accepted can contact their local Lions club who will often provide transportation to and from camp. There is a $25 deposit fee for campers which can be waived by contacting the camp or your local Lions club.

Opportunities also exist for paid summer positions for counselors, specialists, and healthcare  assistants. support Specialists, and Interpreters for the Deaf or hard of hearing. Students who need volunteer time for school purposes may apply for those positions in an unpaid basis as well
