Neillsville School Board Approves IT Upgrades, a Van Purchase, and More

The Neillsville School Board discussed the 2021-2022 audit report and a building projects update.

The Board also approved the bid from Total Electric in the amount of $56,800 for IT upgrades in the Elementary, approved the early graduation request, approved the RVA Handbook as presented, and approved the RVA Summer School Offerings handbook with modifications as noted.

The Board also approved the Expanded Course Handbook as presented, approved the summer school courses with modifications, approved the CESA 10 contract for 2023-2024 as presented, and approved the hockey co-op as presented.

The Board also approved the end of semester AGR Report as presented, approved the purchase of a van in the amount of $43,000 as presented, and approved the Neillsville School Spirit debit card monetary donation in the amount of $981.10 from Unity Bank as presented.

The Board also approved the treasure box of wellness donation from Cummins of Neillsville as presented and approved the monetary donation from Gross Motors of Neillsville in the amount of $12,500 for a new two-post vehicle lift as presented.

In employment matters, the Board approved the resignation of Bryce DeSmet from his JV baseball coaching position as presented and Nate McDonald from his weight room supervisory position as presented.

The Board approved the hiring of Steven Scheets for a custodian position as presented, Hannah Mooney as a food service assistant as presented, Melanie Mitchell as a food service assistant as presented, Nathan Schmidt for the assistant football coaching position for the 2023-24 school year as presented, Reed Lehman for the JV baseball coaching position as presented, and Tucker Bethea for the weight room supervisory position as presented.

The Board also approved the reclassification for Mitch Conner as presented, approved the reduction in schedule for Rita Sternitzky as presented, and approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Jan Shilts as presented.

The Board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on:
