STANLEY PRISON GETS NEW WARDEN

Monday, October 1st, 2007 -- 2:26 PM

The Stanley Correction Institution has a new warden.

Department of Corrections Secretary Rick Raemisch announced today that he has appointed Bradley Hompe as Warden of SCI and Pamela J. Wallace as Warden of the Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility (CVCTF).

SCI, which opened in 2002, is a medium-security adult male prison that manages more than 1,500 inmates through programming, treatment and reintegration efforts.

The CVCTF opened in 2004 as the state's first prison dedicated primarily to providing alcohol or other drug abuse (AODA) treatment, with a population of 450 male inmates.

Despite their large inmate populations and staffs, the institutions previously have shared a warden since CVCTF opened in 2004.

Hompe has worked at both male and female institutions around the state, and had served as SCI's Deputy Warden.
