Individual Arrested After Search Warrant in Wood County Enters Plea in Wood County Court

One of two people arrested after the execution of a search warrant in Wood County entered a plea in Wood County Court on Friday.

On April 20th of last year, the Wood County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant on CTH Z in the Town of Saratoga, in Wood County. Investigators seized quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and prescription medication inside the residence.

Jamy Brost and Perry Carlstrom were taken into custody in connection to those substances. Brost had been previously released on bond for an arrest that took place on April 15th of last year for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, Nekoosa Police Department, Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, and Wood County Human Services assisted the Wood County Sheriff's Department in this investigation.

During her court appearance on Friday, Brost was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession of methamphetamine. She pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and that charge was dismissed and read in. Several other charges were dismissed and read in.

Carlstrom is scheduled to appear in court today, for a plea hearing, and possibly Thursday, February 2nd, for a jury trial.
