Clark County Snowmobile Trails Mostly Open

Saturday, January 21st, 2023 -- 8:51 AM

Today, Saturday, January 21st, all remaining Clark County winter ATV/snowmobile trails including the county forest are open. Trail Y from Highway 10 to Lindsey for the Loyal club  remains closed. Expect early season riding conditions. Use extreme caution when riding. There are some areas with open  water and open water can be present anywhere. There are also areas with icy patches, thin base, rough and/or some soft agricultural fields. Grooming operations will be taking place. Riders must yield to all  groomers. Remember that riding on closed trails is trespassing. Please stay on the trail and respect the private  landowners that allow snowmobiling on their property. Please use caution while riding trails in the Clark County Forest. There are several areas where logging  operations are taking place. Trucks will be hauling on forest roads and snowmobile trails. Some snowmobile  trails are plowed. Please slow down, yield to logging equipment and use caution.

Please reference the Clark County winter ATV/snowmobile map for further clarification on exact club  locations. Please follow the color coded trails for each club as well as intersection numbers. You can also learn  where ATVs are allowed: https://www.clarkcountywi.gov/for-trails-snowmobile. Please note that UTV’s are not allowed on the Clark County Trails system during the winter months (November 1- May 14). Clark County trails are subject to periodic closure; for updates on recent closures and/or openings please  contact the Forestry and Parks Department at 715-743-5140, or visit the county website at  www.clarkcountywi.gov for more information on our trail system.
