They really don?t have a lot of authority in the matter, but Wisconsin Rapids voters will weigh in on whether Congress should impeach President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney when they head to the polls in November. The City Council voted 7-1 Tuesday to send the referendum question to voters.
The question reads, "Resolved: The U.S. House of Representatives should start an impeachment investigation against President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney now."
Two area residents gathered the signatures needed to force the Council to act on the resolution.
