Two Arrested in Jackson County After Vehicle Theft and Pursuit

Two men were arrested after a vehicle theft and pursuit in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, around 9:45pm on December 8th, they received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of a home in the Town of Garfield. After an investigation, it was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Minnesota.

The two suspects fled into the woods before authorities arrived. Authorities were contacted by a neighbor who stated the two men were trying to steal her vehicle. The suspects fled in her vehicle, but were intercepted by a deputy.

After a high-speed pursuit, the vehicle stopped on its own in the City of Osseo and the suspects were taken into custody. The two men were identified as 22-year-old Trenton Harris of Mount Pleasant, Michigan and 18-year-old Isaiah Harris of Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

They were booked into the Jackson County Jail and are facing charges of fleeing an officer, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, and others. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Osseo Police Department.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing additional information at this time.
