(Wisconsin Ag Connection) It looks like cranberry producers in the Badger State have raked in another bumper crop during the past growing season.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the USDA released its latest cranberry production estimates, which noted that Wisconsin growers harvested 4.3 million barrels in 2022.

That's three percent more than last year's harvest, despite a delayed start to the season due to colder weather and reports of hail damage. Wisconsin has been the largest cranberry producing state for over 25 years.

Massachusetts, which ranks second, brought in two million barrels, an 11 percent increase from 2021. The total U.S. cranberry harvest is projected to be around 7.44 million barrels, about five percent larger than last year's crop, but smaller than in any of the previous three years between 2018 and 2020.
