Granton Teacher Participates in Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

A Granton teacher got to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Special Education Teacher Alice Painter was chosen to ride along with the 128th Air National Guard refueling wing from Milwaukee on the special Educator flight this past weekend.

30 teachers from Wisconsin and Minnesota boarded two separate flights on KC-135 stratotankers to fly out of Milwaukee, South West into Missouri where they met up with two B2 Stealth Bombers from the airforce and refueled them in mid flight.

They got to climb into the pod under the airplane and sit beside the boom operator to watch them do the refueling.
