Traffic Stop in Marshfield Results in a Pursuit

A traffic stop in Marshfield led to a pursuit.

According to the Marshfield Police Department, around 11:36am on Friday, August 5th, they attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Marshfield. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was initiated until the vehicle eventually came to a stop at a residence in Marathon County.

Two male occupants were then placed into custody. The Marshfield K9 Unit was utilized and it was learned that a bag of controlled substances were discarded out the window during the pursuit and was later located in the ditch line.

The male driver, a 39-year-old Marshfield man, was transported to Marathon County jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Schedule Narcotic, Felony Bail Jumping and a Probation Hold.
