The Clark County Fair is right around the corner and that means it’s time to crown a new Fairest of the Fair.

There are four candidates vying for the title this year. Natalie Gaier of Hatfield is being sponsored by Gaier Construction. Natalie began our interview by talking a little about herself.

"I'm going to be a senior at Black River Falls High School. I'm involved in band. I play the clarinet. I'm involved in FCCLA, which is Family, Community and Career Leaders of America. I'm also the Girls Golf Captain."

Natalie also discussed what made her decide to run for Fairest of the Fair. "My friend is Miss Jackson County brought it up to me and said, 'you might want to try this.' I looked it up and that's how I decided."

She also discussed what she’s looking forward to if she’s selected. "I'm definitly looking forward to parades and meeting so many new people and being a role model to younger generations and kids that might want to do it."

This year’s candidates will replace the outgoing court of Jaidyn Teschner of Loyal as Fairest of the Fair, Marie Jorgensen of Neillsville as 1st Attendant, and Jayda Harris of Neillsville as 2nd Attendant.

The Fairest of the Fair Coronation is taking place on Wednesday, August 10th at 7pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The Clark County Fair runs from Wednesday, August 10th-Sunday, August 14th.

Make sure you tune in tomorrow at 9am for our Community Highlights program on 1370AM WCCN and 98.5FM to hear from all the candidates.
