Severe Weather Possible this Afternoon & Evening

National Weather Service - Severe weather, potentially significant, is increasingly likely this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph, large hail and locally heavy rain are the primary threats. Isolated tornadoes are also possible. If any location receives several rounds of heavy rain, flash flooding could occur.

Keep up to date with the latest forecasts and any future watches and warnings. Plan now and be prepared to adjust any outdoor plans. 

  • What: Numerous severe storms possible. Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph, large hail, and heavy rainfall. Isolated tornado possible.
  • Where: Entire region
  • Timing: 1 pm to Midnight- Multiple rounds possible during this time. Damaging winds and hail most likely in the afternoon, with the threat for flooding increasing in the evening and overnight.
  • Impacts: Hail damage to property and crops possible. Winds could damage trees and down power lines. Flooding may impact low-lying regions and areas of poor drainage.
  • ACTION: Stay weather aware! Take shelter when storms approach.
