Wisconsin Abortion Providers Opening Rockford Clinics

(Terry Bell, WRN) Women and girls from Wisconsin seeking abortions will soon have an option just right across the border in Illinois.

Doctor Dennis Christensen has performed abortion in Madison and Milwaukee for years. He says he’s part of a group that’s bought two buildings in Rockford. Christensen says abortion pills could be offered at one site as early as this week.

Surgical abortions would be available at the second site within six months. Wisconsin is one of several states where abortion became illegal or strictly limited after the U-S Supreme Court overturned Roe versus Wade.
