Wisconsin Health Officials Investigating Mysterious Liver Damage in Children

(Terry Bell, WRN) Wisconsin health officials are investigating four cases of children with mysterious liver damage.

The Department of Health Services is issuing an alert about a recent increase in cases of acute hepatitis and adenovirus infections in children. One of the kids who got sick required a liver transplant, another child died. Wisconsin is not alone.

The World Health Organization says about 170 cases have been reported in 16 countries, including three other U-S states.
