Gableman Ordered to Stop Deleting Emails and Texts

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) A Dane County judge has ordered staff on the Assembly Republican elections probe to stop deleting emails and texts.
Thursday’s ruling from Judge Frank Remington is the latest development in the legal maneuvers between the investigation lead by former state supreme court justice Michael Gableman, and a liberal, D.C. based watchdog group.
American Oversight previously succeeded in getting Gableman's staff to relinquish hundreds of pages of records. Gableman's attorneys said “documents and text messages that are not of use to the investigation" are deleted as a matter of routine.
American Oversight has asked that all records be turned over, and for Remington to consider finding Gableman in contempt of court over the deleted records.
