Salem is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Courteous Canine in Black River Falls and Creekside Kennels south of Black River Falls.

Name: Salem

Age: 6-Years-Old

Breed: Short-Haired

Salem is this week's CCHS Pet of the Week!  Salem came to CCHS when he was found as a stray in the Willard area.  Salem is one awesome cat!  He's a handsome devil with a short-haired coat that's all black and he has gorgeous golden eyes.  Salem is about 6 years old and weighs 10#.

He's a very sociable fellow and loves to be around people.  He loves to be held and will purr and purr.  He is also quite talkative, and sounds a bit like a bird when he's chirping at you!

Salem did test positive for FIV but it's not a big deal.  He can still have a long and happy life and is fine with other cats as long as they all get along.  He's enjoying time in Kitty City at the Shelter now and loves to greet visitors.

If you'd like to share your world with one of the best cats around, apply to adopt Salem today.  Adoption applications can be submitted through our website:   www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS?  Well, now's your chance!  Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.
