Local FFA Students Receive Scholarships for Washington Leadership Conferences

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Over two dozen Wisconsin FFA members have been selected to receive $600 scholarships for the 2022 Washington Leadership Conferences held in Washington D.C. this summer.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the funds were donated by the Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association. Some local recipients include:

• Lizzy Reinart of Granton,
• Ashlee Hamm of Greenwood,
• Carter Grove of Marshfield,
• Jenna Foemmel of Marshfield,
• Sierra Bakke of Owen-Withee,
• Gabrielle Goessl of Owen-Withee,
• And Rachel Boehlke of Thorp.

Each year, FFA members from all over the United States travel to Washington, D.C. to attend the WLC. During the five-day event, attendees learn how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others.
