Hixton Fire Department Responds to Accident on I-94

The Hixton Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred around 2:42am Tuesday morning on I-94 at mile marker 97. A semi had rolled over and other vehicles were involved in the crash. Three people were pinned.

Three helicopters were requested and they were able to land on I-94. Two patients were flown from the scene and another was transported by ambulance. They all had non-life threatening injuries.

Mutual aid was requested from the Black River Falls Fire Department for additional extrication equipment. Other assisting agencies include Jackson County Sheriff's Office Dispatch, Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies, WI State Patrol, I94 Towing, Jackson County Hwy.
