Gableman Offers No New Information in Elections Report to Assembly Committee

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 -- 8:03 AM

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) A report from the Republican elections probe seems to offer no new information or ideas regarding what happened in the 2020 Presidential election.

Former State Supreme Court Justice Mike Gableman wants the state legislature to overturn the results of the 2020 election.  Speaking in front of the Assembly Elections Committee on Tuesday, Gableman claims there are too many questions surrounding the vote. "At this point I believe the legislature ought to take a very hard look at the option of decertification of the 2020 Wisconsin presidential election."

Gableman reiterated a number of conservative complaints about the election at the hearing and tied a decades-old complaint about the former Government Accountability Board to the Wisconsin Elections Commission. "The mechanisms at all of the infrastructure of the disgraced and partisan Government Accountability Goard remained intact including Kevin Kennedy's former employee Meghan Wolfe."

Gableman reiterated a conspiracy theory that foreign interests engaged in bribery by offering get out the vote grants to Wisconsin cities, and tied that to Wisconsin Elections Commission head Meghan Wolfe. "WEC has 10 million, Zuckerberg gave over 10 million to the state. George Soros gave millions of dollars to start ERIC, which we will get to and by the way, Meghan Wolfe is the president of ERIC now."

ERIC is an agency that helps track voter registrations across the country and is used to help remove dead or moved voters from voter counts. The G A B was dissolved after it brought charges against former Governor Scott Walker over elections violations while he was still Milwaukee County Executive.
