Clark County Forestry Department Provides Update on County Trails System

Thursday, February 24th, 2022 -- 1:27 PM

The Clark County Forestry and Parks Department has released an update on the County Snowmobile Trails.

Some previously closed trails are now open. The Neillsville/Granton Trailbusters remain closed. With the small amounts of snow we’ve been receiving, riders can continue to expect early season riding conditions. This includes icy patches, thin base, and rough ag fields.

Riders are reminded to use caution while riding. Stay on the trail and yield to groomers. Besides the Neillsville/Granton trails, trail FS between Snyder County Park and Intersection 9A are closed for the season.

All other Snowmobile and Winter ATV trails located on public and private lands are still open. You can check a snowmobile map for exact locations of the full and partial closures.

Please use caution on Clark County’s trails. There are several areas where logging operations are taking place. Trucks will be hauling on forest roads and snowmobile trails. Please slow down and yield to logging equipment.

Please note that UTVs are not allowed on the Clark County Trail system during the winter months, November 1st-May14th. Clark County Trails are subject to periodic closures. For trail updates, contact the Clark County Forestry and Parks Department at 743-5140 or visit the county website.
