TEEN KILLED IN ACCIDENT NEAR GRANTON

Saturday, March 25th, 2006 -- 8:40 AM

A 16-year-old Granton teen is dead after being hit by a truck while walking near his home Friday night.

Dusty Ohnesorge and two others were walking on Granton Road, just west of the Village limits of Granton when a westbound truck, driven by 17-year-old Matthew Anibas, also of Granton, struck and killed him.

The accident occurred at around 7:15 p.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Granton Fire Department, Granton First Responders and Spirit of Marshfield air medical transport all assisted at the scene.

The investigation continues.

Meanwhile, Granton school officials opened the school Saturday to provide counseling. Both the student and driver are believed to be students at Granton High School.

This is the third traffic-related fatality on Clark County roads this year.
