Wausau School Board Approves Changes to Mask Policy

The Wausau School District is the latest to make changes to their masking requirements.

At their recent Board Meeting, they approved making masks optional for close-contact cases in the elementary schools of the District. Initially, elementary students and staff had to mask for 5 days if they were a close contact with a COVID case.

The Board pointed to declining COVID numbers and other Districts of similar sizes approving similar changes.
