Coronavirus Numbers for December 6th

-For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 2,315 positive cases.  Of those, 310 are currently active and 167 needed to be hospitalized.  Clark County has had 44 people die from the virus.  Wood has seen a total of 4,615 positive cases.  Wood has had 32 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 409,386 positive cases (an increase of 4,831 over the previous day) and 3,702 deaths, an increase of 77 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 18,126, or 4%, have been hospitalized.  For our other neighboring counties, in total, Chippewa has seen 5,140 positive, Eau Claire has seen 8,099 positive, Jackson has seen 1,937 positive, Marathon has seen 10,204 positive and Taylor has seen 1,299 positive.

Marathon has had 133 people die from the virus; Eau Claire has had 61 people die from the virus; Chippewa has had 55 people die from the virus; Taylor has had 11 people die from the virus; and Jackson has had 5 people die from the virus.
