State Legislator Opposed to New Medical Marijuana Bill

(Terry Bell, WRN) One of the state legislature’s leading marijuana advocates says she’s opposed to a new Republican medical marijuana bill.

Madison Democratic senator Melissa Agard says she wants a full legalization law, and she doesn’t back any half-measures. Agard says that while the Republican bill legalizes medical pot, it doesn’t allow anyone to buy any actual marijuana for smoking or vaping.

Agard says that bill benefits pharmaceutical companies, and not people who need help in Wisconsin.
