Person Arrested for High Speed Chase in Black River Falls Appears in Jackson County Court

Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 -- 2:01 PM

One person arrested after a high speed chase in Black River Falls appeared in Jackson County Court on Tuesday.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in February of last year, they received reports of a suspicious vehicle.  The vehicle was also seen running a stop sign at a fast speed.

When deputies tried to pull over the vehicle, the driver, Andrew Mills, fled at a high speed and a chase began through Black River Falls. Mills ran several stop signs and red lights.  He also hit an unmarked police vehicle.  Mills was eventually taken into custody.

Mills is facing charges of vehicle operator fleeing an officer, three counts of recklessly endangering safety, 4th OWI, 4th operating with a PAC, failure to install an ignition interlock device, operating while revoked, and two counts of criminal damage to property.

Mills waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.
