Security Health Plan Changing How COVID Related Items are Covered in 2022

Security Health Plan of Marshfield is changing how COVID related items are covered in 2022.

Beginning January 1st, Security Health Plan will no longer completely cover in-patient treatment and monitoring for all of its plans. Also, it will not be covering COVID testing that is not considered medically necessary.

Security Health Plan stated they’ve been monitoring federal recommendations on what insurance agencies should cover. Security Health Plan has been covering all COVID testing and in-patient treatment since the beginning of the pandemic. Some insurance agencies stopped after a year.
